Year 2009 is our Silver Jubilee year of KAOCA since its inception in 1984. In these 25 years, many Konkani families have developed close relationships with each other. We have all come together at various times to celebrate our heritage with fun-filled memories of various social, cultural and educational events.
Here are Key KAOCA Accomplishments
o Membership growth since the inception to 500+
o Organized two Konkani Sammelans in the San Francisco Bay Area with 1000+ attendees
o Produced Konklish in CS and GS versions
o Representation in NAKA at the National level
Here are some events planned for 2009
o Yugadi (special event- Deepak Rao’s ESP)
o Picnic and Cricket Tournament
o Medical Day (organized by our Konkani doctors)
o A spectacular Diwali Event filling an entire day
The membership and entry fees for these planned events, only covers a small fraction of the overall expenses for the venue, food and entertainment. The remainder has to be covered by the generous donation from members of our community, like you.
Benefits of Donating to KAOCA
o KAOCA provides a platform and support network for Konkanis (especially youth) to express their talents and become future leaders of our Indo-American community.
o All donors ($200 and above) will be recognized with names listed on the KAOCA web site.
o $1,000 and above donors will be provided with a link to his/her business and services.
